Hidden Camera - December Edition

As per usual, every time I decide to pop into a shop on my way home from work, i find some lovely pieces. This season i'm love love love loving dresses and skirts with short fronts and long backs, and just couldn't resist trying on some examples of this up and coming trend... So I'll leave you to decide - Which one do you like the best? And which one did I buy?

 And a cheeky one - My bright red gingerbread man christmas socks rocking some blue suede heels... Kinda love this look though...

It's almost time!

This will be my first christmas in Barcelona since I was very very little, and I am SO looking forward to it! Store windows are decorated to the full with x'mas cheer, the lights are up on the streets (although not yet lit...) and shopping in the city is manic. Here is an image of my friend Carla and I getting into the Christmas spirit... Is your x'mas tree up yet??

Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year, and the lights are finally up on my street! Just waiting for the lights to be turned on to get the full seasonal effect.

Swedish Deliciousness

A trip to Ikea would not be complete with the necessary hot dog treat at the end of the lengthy furniture browsing. Well priced and truly delicious, make sure on your next trip to the Swedish super-brand, you make a pit stop at the hot dog bar, as I did... Oh, and never leave without at least one bag of those yummy Swedish meatballs...

Zombie Boy, who has graced fashion runways for designers as prestigious as Thierry Mugler, and more recently, appeared in Lady Gaga's video "Born This Way", is collaborating with DreamBlend to promote their tattoo cover make-up. Everyone has those moments, you go shopping on your own and can't seem to decide whether you like what you try on or not. Modern technology has been the saviour of moments like this, with the click of a button, you can now BBM or Whatsapp a snap of your outfit to your most trusted friends, and get their opinions... I'll let you wonder, "Did I buy it or not?"

Big Time Foodie

As you all know, I am a big time foodie...

Now that I've moved to Barcelona, my taste buds are revved up to 100%, as has my culinary imagination, so I have been experimenting with food and here you can see my most recent masterpiece - A "Montadito" consisting of a crabmeat stuffed piquillo pepper, resting on a crunchy piece of baguette with a mustard vinagrette dressing (to make the taste a little bit zing-bang-wow...) topped with an anchovy stuffed green olive... Hope you have been as inspired as I have been in the kitchen, and give it a go!

I was lucky enough to be in attendance at Barcelona Fashion week last week... Fantastic shows and great atmosphere. 

Fashion week is one of my favourite events where one can mingle with other enthusiasts in your same field of work and leisure. Highlights were Toni Francesc, Juan Pedro Lopez and Omar Kashoura - Designers who were all unknown to me prior to this week - Now I want all of their clothes in my wardrobe please!

Student Snacking...

It has been exactly 1 year since I was a student!

This past month I have become a student once more! I will be taking a 4 week intensive course here in Barcelona, to receive a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and have spent the past month brushing up on all things English - Grammar, Vocab, Tenses etc...

BUT I have forgotten how I ballooned up in weight whilst as uni - SNACKING!!! Procrastination is definitely an issue when trying to study, and I have been snacking on some deliiiiicious chocolate croissants today, but it has made me realise what yummy treats are available here in Barcelona - Feast your eyes on these delicacies...

I am loving re-discovering this Tough Love look! With hints of 90's style, vintage pieces and a deep red lip, this is a look worth copying...

I am waving good bye to Pasarela Gaudi Novias for this year, and preparing for Barcelona Fashion Week in July.

I didn't realise I was going to have such a good time at this years Barcelona Bridal Week! The dresses, shows and performances were out-standing. Whilst collecting all of my notes and images, I am posting images of the outfits I wore to the last two days of shows...
